A Prayer for Israel
| Heavenly Father, Β The psalmist tells us to βpray for the peace of Jerusalem.β Β So I pray for peace for Your chosen people, Israel, and their beloved city today. Β You have planned for Israel, provided for Israel, and protected Israel for thousands of years. But as in days of old, there are those today who seek to harm, even destroy, Your people. Β So I ask you to keep Israel in Your loving care. Put a spiritual hedge of protection around Your people and their land. Β Watch over this nation as a Good Shepherd watches over His flock, and may Your chosen people find their ultimate safety and security in You. Β While You watch over Your people, may Your Spirit awaken in them a hunger to embrace their Messiahβthe One who died for themβuntil they see Him face-to-face. Β We pray this in His name, Β Amen. |

Is There Hope for America?
The only hope for America is that she would seek Truth and love it. Jesus is the Truth. His Word is Truth, and therefore we have access to Truth.
The devil is the prince of this world and the father of lies. His goal is to deceive and destroy.
Jesus said, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your fatherβs desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44 NIV
The tolerance of Satan’s lies has had severe consequences:
- Anti-semitism is at an all-time high.
- Terrorism is cheered while the innocent are hated (U.S. college campuses).
- Transgender surgery on children is promoted and protected by law.
- Homosexuality is considered a normal lifestyle.
- Over 1 million babies are murdered every year by abortion.
- Freedom of speech, our First Amendment right, is being taken away by anyone who disagrees by labeling it “misinformation.”
- America, once a Christian nation, has become anti-God. (Just ask any Christian over 70 years old. They have seen this happen right before their eyes.)
PRAY FOR AMERICA!
The Bible says, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all peopleβ for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 NIV
I urge all Americans to prayerfully consider the choices before us in this election. Vote for the agenda you want to see carried out. They are very different.

“The kingβs heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord;
He turns it wherever He pleases.” Proverbs 21:1 NASB
Many died to give us freedom and the right to vote. Don’t toss it aside.

Friday’s Verse, 10/11/24
“As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and SilasΒ away to Berea.Β On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.Β Β Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,Β for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the ScripturesΒ every day to see if what Paul said was true.” Acts 17:10-11 NIV (emphasis mine)
Lord, Teach us to be like the Bereans, examining the Scriptures to see if the things we read and hear are true. Amen
