How I Met Jesus

Jesus saw me as I knelt before the TV, a little girl drinking an RC Cola and watching a Billy Graham Crusade.  It was 1957 and I was just 6 years old. (Yes, that’s me in the photo!)

When Reverend Graham invited the people to ask Jesus into their hearts, Jesus revealed Himself to me. I was drawn to Him by His love for me. I asked him to be my Savior.

I don’t know why He revealed Himself to me, but I am thankful because my life changed that day. Even though I have often sinned, I have always known that what happened that day was real and I’ve always known that Jesus is in my heart.

Having never done anything to deserve His love and faithfulness, still He has always been there. Even when I didn’t act as a Christian should, when I turned back to Him, He was right there. He has rescued me time and time again. He has shown me that He sees what is going on in my life and encouraged me as none other could.

Jesus never left me, even when I left Him. Think about that.

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

I have been on a journey with the Lord for over 60 years now. My prayer is that this blog will be an encouragement to you in your walk with the Lord, because we all need encouragement sometimes.

In His Love,

Cindy

This is  My Journey Unscripted

Listen to this message from Billy Graham if you want to learn more about Jesus.

If you have never asked Jesus to be your Savior, you can do it now. He loves you more than you can comprehend, and it will change your life forever.

“IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH, ‘JESUS IS LORD,’ AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED. FOR IT IS WITH YOUR HEART THAT YOU BELIEVE AND ARE JUSTIFIED, AND IT IS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU CONFESS AND ARE SAVED. AS THE SCRIPTURE SAYS, ANYONE WHO TRUSTS IN HIM WILL NEVER BE PUT TO SHAME.”   ROMANS 10:9-11
