Divine Guidance: What Psalm 139 Teaches Us

1-minute devotion for Friday, 3/27/26

“If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139:9-10 NIV

My thoughts: This verse assures us that God will guide us when we are surrendered to His will. Trust Him to guide you.

Why We Must Expose Error

Quote of the Week for 3/25/26

“Exposing error is most unpopular work. But from every true standpoint, it is worthwhile work. To our Saviour, it means that He receives from us, His blood-bought ones, the loyalty that is His due. To ourselves, if we consider “the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt,” it ensures future reward, a thousandfold. And to souls “caught in the snare of the fowler”- how many of them God only knows- it may mean light and life, abundant and everlasting.”
― H.A. Ironside, Holiness The False and The True

“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17 NASB

“Contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all time handed down to the saints.” Jude 3 NASB

Why God Pursues Each One of Us

1-minute devotion for Monday, 3/23/26

Have you ever read a passage of Scripture that was so personal that it seems to have been written just for you? I have. It is the verse below.

Jesus said, “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?  And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.  In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14 NIV

I am reminded that He did that for me. When I wandered off, God didn’t say, “Oh well,” or “She’s a lost cause.”

No! He went after me and brought me home! Those verses are very personal for me. We serve a God who is merciful, so merciful!

He will go after one lost sheep because He loves each one of us. He loves each individual person. He loves you!

Sunday Prayer and Meditation: Trust in the Lord

Meditation for Sunday, 3/22/26

Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
    the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
    from those whose walk is blameless.

Lord Almighty,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you.

At Any Moment!

1-minute devotion for Friday, 3/20/26

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NIV

Christ Is Our Anchor

A reflection for Thursday, 3/19/26

“We who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:18-19

Our hope in Christ is a firm expectation and confidence in all He has promised. By this, we are greatly encouraged.

Will I Speak Up?

Quote of the Week for 3/18/26

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4

My thoughts: Truth is important. It matters what people believe. Don’t be afraid to speak up.

Encouragement For the Lonely

Meditation for Tuesday, 3/17/26

“Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
    extol him who rides on the clouds;
    rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
    is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,
    he leads out the prisoners with singing.” Psalm 68:4-6 NIV
