Tuesday’s Verse, 3/23/21

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 3:3-5 NLT

Can God Change the Hearts of Our Enemies?

Today, Ann’s post “How Would Jesus Pray?”(Seeking Divine Perspective) hit me so hard! Wow! This was my answer to prayer as I sought after God’s heart in preparation for this post. You can read Ann’s post here: https://seekingdivineperspective.com/2021/02/26/how-would-jesus-pray/

When we look at how the world is changing, and as we watch America’s enemies tear down our Christian heritage right before our eyes, do we think to follow God’s command to pray for our enemies? Jesus said,

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” Matthew 5:43-44 NIV

If you’re like me, that isn’t easy to do. I hope the following testimony of God’s love and grace will be the encouragement you need to believe that God can change anyone’s heart. Nothing is too hard for God. This is one story of thousands where God softened the hardest of hearts.

Let us pray for our enemies, believing in the power of All Mighty God to save and transform lives. Let us do it in obedience to God’s will.

Sunday’s Memory Verse, 3/14/21

“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 NLT
