I didn’t realize until we were studying this passage in Sunday school that it never says Thomas went ahead and put his fingers in the holes in Jesus’ hands. Personally I don’t think Thomas was any more of a doubter than the rest of the disciples. They ALL doubted at first (Didn’t believe the women!) Thomas just wasn’t there the first time Jesus appeared to them. We don’t really know which of us would have believed and which would have doubted. We’re too quick to judge the disciples from our 20-20 hindsight.

I think Jesus was letting Thomas know that He knew what he (Thomas) had said about putting his hand into His side.

That right, Thomas had said that before Jesus showed up! 😀
