Is your heart breaking? Are you in deep despair? Is depression crushing you? Even when you think you can’t hang on, God will hang on to you. No matter what life is throwing at you, no matter how weak your faith might be right now, God will hold you fast.
How do I know? I know because He has done this for me. It has been over 60 years since I asked Jesus to be my Savior. Through many trials, through many sorrows, through all my many failings, He never let me go.
He never said, “That’s it! I’m done with her. She’s gone too far now. Enough is enough!”
When I doubted, He held me fast. When I rebelled, He held me fast. When I went astray, He held me fast. When I was in deep despair, He held me fast. When my heart was broken, He held me fast. This is why I love Him and why I praise Him unashamedly.
It is when I acknowledge my own shortcomings, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses that I can grasp the depth of His great love and forgiveness and understand just how much I really need Him.
If you are searching for love, forgiveness, and mercy, come to Jesus. His love surpasses all understanding. He loves you, yes you.

“If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there … Your right hand will hold me fast.” (Psalm 139:10)

Oh Cindy! I love this song and post. He will hold us fast!! I had a very troubling week. Sins of mine were pointed out from a friend, who now won’t talk to me. I feel judged, condemned. But, I keep remembering Romans 8:1 and knowing God forgives, and gives grace. Others don’t want to but He does. Thank you for this post!! I needed it and God knows that!! ❤❤❤

So true Cindy. I recently attended a Men’s conference where the Lord spoke directly to me. If He had wanted to He could have took me out with one final, knockout punch. I was at a place where just one last blow would have sent me down for the “ten count”.
But, instead of a clenching fist of judgment, the gracious Savior gave me His open hand of mercy and picked me up. This is the God you have spoken of here in this post. Thank You.
BTW – is that your daughter singing in the video? She shares your last name. What a beautiful voice! Blessings.

I love that last verse from Psalm 139. A Christian psychologist explained it this way: “He holds you with one hand and guides you with the other.” ❤

Great post! I remember feeling afraid that God would turn His back on me when I did something wrong, when my faith was weak, etc. I’m learning that this isn’t true and those thoughts were a combination of my fears and lies from the enemy. It’s a relief to know that He’s always there for us. I also liked the song your daughter sang–she has a beautiful voice!

Yes! Even if we truly do feel as though we can’t hang on, it will never change the fact that Christ holds a steady, secure grip on us. He will not let His children go. He cannot; to do so would be in direct defiance of His very nature of faithfulness and His inerrant Word.
How grateful I am that my Lord keeps His promises — no matter my own circumstances!
