“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16 NIV
My Thoughts: Lord, Give us the boldness to freely share the Gospel with those around us.

Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17 NASB
My Thoughts: Perhaps the most life-changing words in all the Bible…

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NIV
My thoughts: Now is the time to spread the Good News, while Jesus tarries.

Unity at the expense of truth is a false sense of unity.”
Justin Peters
We have been given the final word on what is true: God’s Word, the Bible.

He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?” Luke 12: 54-56 NIV Read full chapter
My Thoughts: Are we interpreting this present time? As Jan Markel likes to say, “Things are not falling apart. They are falling into place.”

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32 NIV
My Thoughts: We live in a time of great deception, but the Lord has given us the Bible, the source of all Truth.

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37-39, NIV 1984)
My thoughts: What was it like in the days of Noah? Watch TV.

“Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” 2 Timothy 2: 25-26 NIV (emphasis mine)
My thoughts: A kind, gentle spirit has the potential to awaken people and bring them to their senses. This is God’s way.

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ Matt 4:4 NIV
My thoughts: The Word of God is as indispensable as the food we eat.

“What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” 1 Corinthians 3:5-6 NIV (emphasis mine)
My Thoughts: Keep planting seeds. Ask God to make them grow.
