Jesus Is Coming Back

Look up! Jesus is coming back for His bride! That is our blessed hope.

(God’s grace) “teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” Titus 2:12-13 NIV (emphasis mine)

Jesus Christ was very clear: One day he will return – and no one knows when. Vocal fanatics claim to know the details of his coming, causing many people to all but ignore the gospel and the good news that Jesus is coming again. God’s Word assures us of the Second Coming and commands us to know the signs of the times, to remain watchful, and to always be ready for Christ’s return – whenever it may be. (emphasis mine)

John MacArthur

Jesus scolded the Pharisees saying, “You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:3 NIV

I recently discovered a ministry that is both interesting and informative. It is called Understanding the Times and is part of Olive Tree Ministries. I have learned so much from it that I want to recommend it to you.

Many things that are happening in our world today remind us of end-time prophecy. In the verse below we are told that during the tribulation people will have to take the mark of the beast to buy or sell. For the first time, we have seen how this might be possible. Governments can control the freedoms of the people via vaccine passports. In Sweden, for example, a vaccine passport implant is actually placed under the skin. Read about it here.

Prophecy: “It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” Revelation 13:16-17 NIV

There have always been those who falsely predicted the day of Jesus’ return.

Jesus said, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

But the Bible also contains many prophecies about end-times events and discusses signs of the times. So we should study these Scriptures. There are many.

The Apostle John wrote, “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” Revelation 1:3 NIV (emphasis mine)

This post doesn’t begin to cover all the interesting prophecies and events happening today that many of us are completely unaware of. That’s why I encourage you to check out Olive Tree Ministries and Understanding the Times, today.

Verses for Meditation, 12/15/22

The End Times

12 “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise[a] will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:1-3 NIV (emphasis mine) Read full chapter

The wise not only understand God’s salvation but are active in turning many to righteousness even during the most perilous times. God will reward them by making them “shine like the sun” throughout eternity. See Matthew13:43.

Tuesday’s Verse, 11/8/22

” … and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.  Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.  Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” Matthew 24:39-42 (emphasis mine) Read full chapter
