Verses for Meditation, 2/1/24
“Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].” James 4:14 AMP
My thoughts: Be ready for Christ’s soon return.

Tuesday’s Verse, 1/30/24
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them sing joyful praises forever.
Spread your protection over them,
that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love.” Psalm 5:11-12 NLT

Monday’s Verse, 1/29/24
“In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8 NIV
My thoughts: Many years ago when my son was a baby, I found a long snake skin in my closet. The only way I could sleep was to meditate on this verse. We never found the snake. Maybe an angel chased him out!

Verses for Meditation, 1/25/24
“Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV

Tuesday’s Verse, 1/23/24
Jesus said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31 NIV

Monday’s Verse, 1/22/24
“Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.” Isaiah 64:4 NIV
My thoughts: The God who created these amazing birds is able to act on your behalf.

Sunday’s Memory Verse, 1/21/24
“Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” Psalm 61:1-3 KJV
