“O Lord, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.” Psalm 104:24 NLT

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:12-14 NLT

“See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power,
and he rules with a mighty arm.
See, his reward is with him,
and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:10-11 NIV (emphasis mine)

Because my post today on Real Christian Women was written in my excitement for the Summer Olympics, I feel the need to comment on last night’s opening ceremonies. What has happened to our world?
Scenes from the Opening Ceremony:
I could share more, but this should suffice.
“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.” 1 John 4:1-3 NIV (emphasis mine)
I am sad for all the young people who have worked so hard to become an Olympic champion. Now they are forced to be part of an Anti-Christian event or give up their dream. Pray for them.
