Friday’s Verse, 1/3/25
“I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments…
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:4,8 NIV Read full chapter
Note: As in Paul’s day, false teachers still knock at the door of the Church seeking to draw Christians away from the Truth of God’s Word.

Verses for Meditation, 1/2/25
The Apostle Paul said, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” 1 Timothy 1:15-16 NIV

Quote of the Week, 1/1/25
Wherever we find ourselves in life – no matter how demanding our circumstances or problematic the people we meet – God has a plan that will equip us for the work and yield godly results. And if we walk where and how we should, others will take note and follow.”

Tuesday’s Verse, 12/31/24
“The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;” Psalm 19:7a NASB
The Hebrew word for “restoring” is “shub,” which means to restore, return, or refresh. This suggests a transformative power inherent in God’s law, capable of bringing life and vitality to the innermost being, the “soul” or “nephesh.” The soul represents the entire person, indicating that God’s law has the power to renew and invigorate every aspect of our lives, leading us back to spiritual health and alignment with God’s will.
