Tuesday’s Verse, 10/15/24

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalm 56:3-4 NIV

A Prayer for Israel

Heavenly Father,

The psalmist tells us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

So I pray for peace for Your chosen people, Israel, and their beloved city today.

You have planned for Israel, provided for Israel, and protected Israel for thousands of years.
But as in days of old, there are those today who seek to harm, even destroy, Your people.

So I ask you to keep Israel in Your loving care. Put a spiritual hedge of protection around Your people and their land.

Watch over this nation as a Good Shepherd watches over His flock, and may Your chosen people find their ultimate safety and security in You.

While You watch over Your people, may Your Spirit awaken in them a hunger to embrace their Messiah—the One who died for them—until they see Him
face-to-face.

We pray this in His name,

Amen.

In His Love, Cindy

Monday’s Verse, 10/14/24

 “I will sing of your strength,
    in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
    my refuge in times of trouble.

 You are my strength, I sing praise to you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
    my God on whom I can rely.” Psalm 59:16-17 NIV

Is There Hope for America?

The only hope for America is that she would seek Truth and love it. Jesus is the Truth. His Word is Truth, and therefore we have access to Truth.

The devil is the prince of this world and the father of lies. His goal is to deceive and destroy.

Jesus said, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44 NIV

The tolerance of Satan’s lies has had severe consequences:

  • Anti-semitism is at an all-time high.
  • Terrorism is cheered while the innocent are hated (U.S. college campuses).
  • Transgender surgery on children is promoted and protected by law.
  • Homosexuality is considered a normal lifestyle.
  • Over 1 million babies are murdered every year by abortion.
  • Freedom of speech, our First Amendment right, is being taken away by anyone who disagrees by labeling it “misinformation.”
  • America, once a Christian nation, has become anti-God. (Just ask any Christian over 70 years old. They have seen this happen right before their eyes.)

PRAY FOR AMERICA!

The Bible says, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—  for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior,  who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 NIV

I urge all Americans to prayerfully consider the choices before us in this election. Vote for the agenda you want to see carried out. They are very different.

“The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord;
He turns it wherever He pleases.” Proverbs 21:1 NASB

Many died to give us freedom and the right to vote. Don’t toss it aside.

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” Nelson Mandela

Tuesday’s Verse, 10/8/24

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.  For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!  So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT

Monday’s Verse, 10/7/24

“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Christ.” Colossians 2:8 AMP
