Monday’s Meditation for 9/21/26
“I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:1-3 NLT

Your reflection on Psalm 40 carries such gentle strength. The way you hold David’s testimony alongside your own makes the passage feel freshly alive. God really does lift us—out of pits we name and pits we don’t—and your words remind us that praise is often born from places we thought would undo us. Thank you for pointing us back to the God who hears, steadies, and gives us a new song.
