1-minute devotion for Tuesday, 1/27/26
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:1-2 (emphasis mine) Read full chapter
My thoughts: It is so easy to become consumed with the problems and concerns of our present life here on earth and neglect our time with our Lord. Let every day begin by setting our hearts and minds on the things of God through prayer and time in His Word.
In His Love, Cindy

I like this scripture today Cindy – keeping our eyes fixed on “things above” is important and spirutually beneficial. I apply this when worshipping in church or at home…I look up to Him! God bless you today sister 🙏

Colossians 3:2 meant a lot to me during COVID. Like everyone else I was spending a lot more time at home and I would scroll Pinterest, then look at my house and think I want to renovate this and that and update here and there…God finally revealed and showed me my covetous heart and Colossians 3:2 soon replaced my desires..focusing upward to my Heavenly home, not inward to my earthly home.

Alicia, Thank you for sharing that. When we ask Him to help us to focus on Him, He answers that prayer. I believe He will give us the desires He wants us to have when we are surrendered to His will and ask Him to do it. God bless you today, my friend and sister in Christ!
