“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.” Psalm 130:5-6 NIV (emphasis mine)
Commentary: The word hope in our present thinking most often carries the idea of wishful thinking, but in Biblical thought, hope was synonymous with certainty. (Jeremiah Study Bible Notes)

Don’t you love that phrase, “More than watchmen wait for the morning”? When it is almost morning, even a night of tossing and turning fretting over this or that, it seems that hope comes knocking on the door.
