As I contemplate what to say to my readers today, I cannot help but reflect on America’s election results. I must admit that, although I prayed that America would reject the woke agenda, I was fearful that she would choose it. And then what? Would God give us over to our delusions and sinful ways?
“and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:10 NIV
But, America rejected abortion through all months of pregnancy. She rejected the lie of transgenderism which supports the mutilation of our children. She rejected the abandonment of Israel. She rejected many kinds of evil. For this, I am eternally grateful because I love America and could not imagine how I would endure her complete rejection of life and truth.
So I am thankful today and filled with joy. Please believe me when I say, my hope is not in any man. My hope is in God. However, God allows us to make choices. And choices have consequences, as you know.
“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.” Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV
I believe God answered the prayers of many Christians. He has given us more time to enjoy freedom and use it to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has given us more time to speak the Truth in God’s Word.
Many Christians around the world are severely persecuted. For the time being at least, America will not become part of that group. So we must recognize that we have been given a reprieve and take advantage of the fact that we can continue to freely gather in our churches and preach the Gospel with all boldness and unafraid. For the time being, there will be no “misinformation police” to stop the preaching of the Gospel. Be thankful.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20 NIV
Dear Lord, We thank you for your mercy and love. We thank you for all our many blessings. Help us to be doers of the Word. Help us to do everything You want us to do. Give us boldness and wisdom as we interact with the lost. Teach us to walk in love. Give us a deep love for Your Word and a hunger to know it well. Give us discernment, that we might walk in Truth. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

Amen and amen. May we all teach our children that freedom is, in the words of Ronald Reagan:
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
Hopefully, they will teach their children. That is if the Lord tarries.

Thank you for your encouraging words. Not all Christians see the election with the same perspective as we do. I believe, as you and Reagan do, that we must fight for freedom and that means taking up our responsibility as Americans to vote and vote with wisdom. You are a great encouragement to me, Donna. Thanks so much for remembering Eli in prayer. ♡ He told his momma that he just wants to be ‘normal’. He has done better with his behavior this past week. The only change is lessening his last seizures med that they are weaning him off of and adding vitamin B. So let’s pray that is all he needs. His mom has several appointments coming up with different doctors pertaining to him possibly having to take Ritalin.
He also has to have an appointment with a neuro surgeon. Elis poor little body on the right side is getting worse. He couldn’t wear his brace on his leg anymore, even with the botox injections. Then they put him in a leg cast. He had to miss so much and carry that heavy thing for 6 months. It didn’t help him. He ended up getting blisters on his feet. Eli just drug his leg around. He is still just dragging it. Now, they want to do surgery to cut the tendons. Then, he will have to recover and go through therapy again. All the while, that may not be a permanent solution. It is so hurtful 💔 😢 His momma is beside herself. We just pray this cerebral palsy will go away. It is so upsetting watching someone that you love go through its debilitating effects.
I am so sorry to share all of that with you. At least now you have a more detailed prayer list over him. Eli’s moms name is Kimberly. As his primary caregiver, she could use prayer also. We also are rejoicing cautiously. Far too often I have seen God give a reprieve only to see the Church grow lax in it. God has given us maybe four more years to do good and seek His will to recover territory taken by the enemy. Past damage clean up was not done yet. The clean up has not yet begun this round and that will take our courage and standing on His Word to still fight the good fight. For the left will not rest until they regain this territory, so neither should we.
I am not trying to be a downer but far too often on the heels of blessings the enemy of our souls knows who will let their guard down and strike. Yes rejoice, yet keep watch and vigilant. There are places that still have not recovered from the hurricane Katrina and yet there are still more of that around.
God has allowed me to work in some very dangerous places and on the heels of victory the enemy stoop read to pounce. So often after the trophy won, it was set down, immediately, to quickly make plans for the next move. After one win while the celebration was going on, the enemy of our souls prompted individuals to do irreversible damage that was never recovered from. So yes, rejoice cautiously.

Sorry, politically speaking, barring any unforeseen events, by Trump winning politically we may have four more years, there is no prediction only the hope that with this win God has given us four more years. Sorry I was being hopeful in things changing over the next four years, for the better. That’s all.

Because of fake news and inflammatory statements stoking hate crimes against Catholics and Jews, our city’s Catholic church had to hire an off duty deputy sheriff as a deterrent at the church entrance. Its doors are locked ten minutes after the service starts. The Jews and the Catholics are the first to be targeted by alphabet agencies and the media, Others were likely to follow.

I am so thankful that God has shown us mercy beyond what we deserve. I pray that the church will work to further the gospel during this time and stand ever strong for truth. We’ve seen how close we came to having a woke government with ungodly leaders. Praise God that people rejected that!
