Quote of the Week, 10/26/22

The Word of Faith movement is deceiving countless people, causing them to grasp after a way of life and faith that is not biblical. At its core is the same lie Satan has been telling since the Garden: “You shall be as God” (Genesis 3:5) … So, be wary of the Word of Faith movement and any church that aligns itself with Word of Faith teachings.”

    1. I was deceived by this teaching at one time. I have first hand experience with it. The Lord opened my eyes, but it took a long time for me to recover. God was faithful and now I am on solid ground. I learned an important lesson. Thank you for your continued encouragement, my Brother in Christ.

      1. I remember being deceived by this doctrine, too, Cindy. They had me convinced my sickness was my own fault – well, it probably was, at least in part, but not for the reasons they told me. I think the bottom line to the debate is, we are to be God’s servants, not the other way around.

      2. I, too, was deceived by this teaching. In the 1980s, I worked full-time for a big name televangelist for almost three years. My faith was shredded by the time I left that job.
