Did you add “women,” or is there really a translation that says that? I immediately thought of Miriam with her tambourine, leading the women in sing after the parting of the Red Sea. 😉

The NIV, ESV, and NASB (among others) use the word “women”. I can’t find anything on why the KJV translates it “the company”. Thanks for commenting. Blessings, Annie!
