Jesus said, “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing … likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:4-5, 7 NKJV

God never leave anyone behind. He won’t abandon us, even when at times it can feel that way. Especially now with what we’re dealing with. I really enjoy your post.

It used to bother me that the shepherd would leave the 99, but God is not someone who can only be one place at a time. 😉 Besides, the sheep that is all alone away from the flock is the one the wolves will go after. The sheep that are gathered together are much safer – I’m pretty sure that’s why we are told not to forsake the assembling of ourselves. We need one another, and we need to stick together – even if it’s virtually – to encourage one another, pray for and with one another, to defend and support one another, to counsel one another, and to hold one another accountable.
