1-minute devotion for Friday, 9/5/25
Then Jesus asked, โWhat is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.โ Luke 13:18-19
When I was a little girl about 6 or 7 years old, I was given a white Bible that zipped up. The zipper was connected to a little chain and on the end was a glass marble with a mustard seed inside. I didn’t understand the significance of the mustard seed then. But I do now.
My pastor described it like this: Looking at a mustard seed is like looking at one pixel of a photo. You have no idea what you’re looking at. Even if you double the number of pixels over and over and over, you still have no idea what you’re looking at! We can’t see what it is because we’re too close to it! WE CAN’T SEE THE BIG PICTURE! BUT GOD CAN!
Think about it!
