Monday’s Verse, 1/6/25

“and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation” 1 Peter 2:2 NASB

Note: This is how we grow and become mature. There is no other way. There are no shortcuts.

Sunday’s Memory Verse, 1/5/25

“When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul.” Psalm 94:19 NIV

My advice: When battling anxiety, turn to God’s Word for comfort. Write down the verses that speak to your heart.

Verses for Meditation, 1/2/25

The Apostle Paul said, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” 1 Timothy 1:15-16 NIV

Tuesday’s Verse, 12/31/24

“The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;” Psalm 19:7a NASB

The Hebrew word for “restoring” is “shub,” which means to restore, return, or refresh. This suggests a transformative power inherent in God’s law, capable of bringing life and vitality to the innermost being, the “soul” or “nephesh.” The soul represents the entire person, indicating that God’s law has the power to renew and invigorate every aspect of our lives, leading us back to spiritual health and alignment with God’s will. (Berean Study Bible notes)

Verses for Inspiration, 12/26/24

“A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”

He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” John 9:24-25 NIV

Quote of the Week, 12/25/24

“The opposite of wisdom is foolishness – ignorance, lack of discernment, and limited insight in favor of one’s personal preference or opinion. In Proverbs, the wise person is humble before the holiness and counsel of God…”

Pastor David Jeremiah

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 NIV

Tuesday’s Verse, 12/24/24

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 NIV
