Called To Be a Servant

1-minute devotion for Sunday, 11/9/25

“He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”

Then he put a little child among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes not only me but also my Father who sent me.” (Jesus) Mark 9:35-37 NLT

When I read these verses, I am always reminded of the great need in most churches for more Children’s Ministry teachers. What a privilege to answer God’s call to serve the children He so dearly loves!

Quote of the Week, 3/13/24

“We should always look upon ourselves as God’s servants, placed in God’s world, to do his work; and accordingly labour faithfully for him; not with a design to grow rich and great, but to glorify God, and do all the good we possibly can.”
