Trust in God for Perfect Peace

Understanding Ezekiel’s Prophecy of the Good Shepherd

This prophecy began to be fulfilled when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus ministered to the crowds, who were like wandering sheep without a shepherd. Jesus not only cares for the sheep, He laid down His life for them. (Jeremiah Study Bible Notes)

Empowering Students: A Teacher’s Inspiring Fictional Journey

I know a teacher who wrote a fictional story about the students in her 7th-grade English Class. The story took place in the future and revealed what each student did with their life.

She read a chapter every few days and the students always wanted to hear more, eager to find out who they would become. One boy (who could be a challege) became a war hero. One of the girls became the first female president of the U.S. Another boy became the town Fire Chief and saved many lives. Each student became an important contributor to society, a person who helped others and was well-respected.

The best part was each student’s reaction to the part of the story about themselves. Maybe they had never imagined themselves becoming an important person. Maybe they had never imagined their classmates would become important people. But they did now.

Jonah’s Miracle: Whale Encounter in Chile

Skeptics scoff at the story of Jonah being swallowed by a whale, but recently a man in Chile experienced just that! And his father captured it on camera.

Standing in the Gap: Intercessory Prayer Explained

 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one. So now I will pour out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my anger. Commentary: This is a vivid way to show how a human intercessor appeals to a holy, angry God and convinces Him not to destroy His people but to extend mercy to them …. God is predisposed to show mercy, even when judgment is deserved. (Jeremiah Study Bible Notes)
