God Knows Us Completely

1-Minute Devotion for Thursday, 4/30/26

“O Lord, you have examined my heart
    and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
    You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
    and when I rest at home.
    You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
    even before I say it, Lord.” Psalm 139:1-4 NLT

My thoughts: God knows us better than we know ourselves. The Psalmist goes on to say,

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
 Point out anything in me that offends you,
    and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (vv 23-24) Read full chapter

May this be our prayer today.

Create in Me a Pure Heart

1-minute read Friday’s Verses, 3/21/25

“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins
    and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:7-10 NIV
