Self-proclaimed NAR “prophet” Lou Engle has called women of America to pray for our country in Washington, DC in October 2024.
That may sound like a good thing, but before you sign up, I urge you to learn more about Lou Engle and this movement. Why?
“It is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge, and the one who acts hastily makes poor choices.” Proverbs 19:2 NET
This verse reminds us that we must not jump on the bandwagon of anything and everything that claims to be Christian. Make sure you know what it’s about and who is promoting it.
This event is sponsored by the New Apostolic Reformation, an unbiblical movement within evangelical Christianity. If you don’t know what the New Apostolic Reformation is, please learn.
“The New Apostolic Reformation, or NAR, is an unbiblical religious movement that emphasizes experience over Scripture, mysticism over doctrine, and modern-day βapostlesβ over the plain text of the Bible. Of particular distinction in the New Apostolic Reformation are the role and power of spiritual leaders and miracle-workers, the reception of βnewβ revelations from God, an over-emphasis on spiritual warfare, and a pursuit of cultural and political control in society. The seeking of signs and wonders in the NAR is always accompanied by blatantly false doctrine.” (GotQuestions.org) Read the full article “What Is the New Apostolic Reformation here.
One of my favorite blogs, Reasoned Cases for Christ by Bruce Cooper, has a dedicated website page that offers an in-depth study of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement within Christianity. It provides historical, doctrinal, and organizational insights into the NAR, emphasizing the importance of understanding its beliefs and practices in light of biblical truth. You can access that page here.
I fear many innocent, but zealous, Christian women will be drawn into this “One Million Esthers” movement. I urge you to heed the warnings in God’s Word.
“I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpentβs cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough ... For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. ” 2 Corinthians 11:2-4, and 13-15 NIV (emphasis mine)
Dawn Hill has written an excellent article concerning “THE RISE OF ONE MILLION ESTHERS FOR AMERICA”. Read it at the Lovesick Scribe here.
Jesus warned, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. ” Matthew 24:10-11 NIV
I know that many good Christian women have never even heard of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). That is why I am posting this warning. Please do not be uninformed.
In His Love, Cindy
