Devotion for Thursday, 10/15/26
The following quote is from Bruce Cooper’s post, “Peace Be with You”:
Paul wrote,
“Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.”
Colossians 3:15 NASB
“To let the peace of Christ rule is to allow it to govern what takes place within us. Fear may speak, but it does not have to rule. Troubling circumstances may demand our attention, but they do not have to become our master. The world may be loud, but it does not possess greater authority than the voice of Christ.
The risen Lord still speaks peace to His people. Not because every danger has disappeared. Not because every prayer has already been answered in the manner we desire.
Not because we understand everything God is doing.
But because Jesus Christ has risen, death has been defeated, our sins can be forgiven, the Holy Spirit has been given, and nothing can separate those who belong to Christ from the love of God.“

Beautiful insight, Cindy — what a timely reminder that true peace isn’t found in circumstances but in Christ Himself. The way you framed it draws hearts back to the steady center of His presence, where anxiety loses its grip and trust takes root. Thank you for writing with such clarity and grace; it’s the kind of Kingdom truth that strengthens believers to walk in calm confidence, no matter the storm.
