Jonathan Edwards was right — humility doesn’t just make us nicer people; it makes us untouchable. Pride is the devil’s foothold, but humility is the Spirit’s shield. When Jesus says the greatest are the servants, He isn’t offering a personality tip — He’s revealing the posture that keeps us aligned with the Kingdom and out of the enemy’s reach. The devil can imitate light, twist Scripture, and bait our desires, but he cannot operate in the atmosphere of genuine humility. It suffocates him.
What struck me in your post is how simple the protection is. Not complicated strategies. Not heroic spiritual performances. Just the quiet, daily choice to bow low before God and lift others up. That’s where the devil loses his leverage. Humility isn’t weakness; it’s warfare. It’s the place where God exalts what the enemy cannot touch.
Thank you for this reminder, Cindy. In a world obsessed with self‑promotion, you’re pointing us back to the one posture Jesus Himself embodied. May we walk today in the kind of humility that keeps us firmly in the Father’s hands — and far beyond the enemy’s reach.
