Embracing Unseen Blessings

Quote of the Week for Wednesday, 8/26/26

“God’s blessings are often unfolding right in front of us before we even realise it… Sometimes God is quietly writing the next chapter while we’re simply living the moment.” Steve Rebus, iChristian blog

This quote was a message to me from Steve Rebus. It is profound. God is working His plans, even when we have no earthly idea He is doing it! For more explanation, see my post, Count Your Blessings! Updated.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Let us thank Him not only for what we can see, but also for what He is doing that is unseen!

In His Love, Cindy

  1. That is indeed a great quote by brother Steve; it is so true that Father God’s blessings go before us, waiting on our arrival. This is predestination in action in our lives. Thank you for sharing this with us today Cindy. God bless you my friend and sister in Christ 🙏

  2. What a beautiful thought: “God is quietly writing the next chapter while we’re simply living the moment.” We so often want to know what comes next, but God asks us to trust Him with the unseen. Looking back, I can see so many times when what I thought was an ending was actually God preparing something I couldn’t yet see! Thank you for this reminder to trust His timing and be grateful for the blessings unfolding right in front of us 🙂

  3. Cindy, thank you so much for sharing this and for choosing my words as your Quote of the Week. That really means a lot to me. ❤️

I love the way you have connected the thought of unseen blessings with Jeremiah 29:11. We can so easily become focused on what we can see happening right now that we forget God is already at work beyond what our eyes can see. Sometimes what looks like a closed door or an ending may actually be part of something He is preparing for us.

Your reminder to thank God not only for the blessings we can see, but also for the work He is quietly doing behind the scenes, is a beautiful one. We may not understand His timing or see the whole picture, but we can trust the One who does.

Thank you again, Cindy. I am truly blessed that the quote spoke to you and that you felt led to share it with your readers. May God continue to use your words to encourage people to trust Him with the unseen. God bless you, my friend and sister in Christ. 🙏😀

    1. Steve, I have no doubt that the Lord inspired you to write those words in your message to me. I can’t explain it, but your message confirmed and enlightened me further. The reality that He is working on our behalf even when we don’t see it has become so real to me. Thank you for your encouragement, my friend. May God bless you and Sarah abundantly! 🙏

      1. Cindy, that really means a lot to me. And honestly, I think that is one of those moments where we have to give the glory to God, because I had no idea when I wrote those words how deeply they would speak to you. Sometimes we simply share what God has placed on our hearts, and He takes it further than we could ever imagine.

I love that this has become more real to you: that God is working on our behalf even when we cannot see what He is doing. That is such a comforting truth, especially in those seasons when we don’t understand what is happening or where He is leading us.

Thank you for sharing that with me, Cindy. I am genuinely grateful that God used a few simple words from me to encourage you. And thank you for blessing Sarah and me with your kind words. We appreciate you and your friendship more than you know. God bless you abundantly, my friend and sister in Christ. 🙏😀
