Reflection for Tuesday, 5//19/26
“The Bible reveals details about the last days to alleviate the stress of wondering what is coming and to prepare us so that we will be ready. Because we should be familiar with our Bibles, God expects us to know what His Word says about future events.”
Jack Hibbs, from his book, Living in the Daze of Deception
Jesus said, “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.” Matthew 24:42-44 NASB (emphasis mine)

A great post and quote from Jack Hibbs sister Cindy. I see it as necessary common sense to be aware and prepared for what is ahead of us as believers, and be able to warn others who don’t know our Lord or the end times timetable set in scripture. It made me think of the illustration; we just booked a holiday for August…we know where, when, and how we are going – I wouldn’t have paid for it without knowing these details. God bless you today sister 🙏

You’re right! It is common sense to find out what is ahead! Why do you think so many Christians aren’t interested in this topic? Is it because they think everything will continue to go on as it always has? Thank you for commenting today. God bless you, Brother Alan, as you serve Him each day! 🙏

I think many folk attached to churches, members and believers, are looking for the easy way to live. They don’t want their lifestyle to be challenged by the truth of Gods Word, thus they readily accept false doctrine that tickles their ears. That’s my simple understanding of why so many reject end times teaching.

That’s really sad. Many pastors won’t touch it with a ten foot pole!

So many wonderful books help believers understand the end times, including the events and timeline. Perhaps the key that unlocks peace is the certainty of God’s control over what will come to pass. Praise God for the assurance of having the believer’s name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and with indelible ink!
