Why Do I Need Jesus?

The Bible says:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, NKJV)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, NKJV)

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21, NKJV)

This is exactly what Isaiah foretold:

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5–6, NKJV)

And all of this was motivated by love:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, NKJV)

The assassin deserves his penalty. But the greater question is personal:

👉 Have you been born again?

👉 Is YOUR name written in the Book of Life?

(Daniel 7:10; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:11–15, NKJV)

That is why Scripture pleads with us:

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2, NKJV)
