Love Does Not Affirm A Dangerous Path

We must not affirm sinful behavior because it has become acceptable in our culture. If you aren’t sure about which behaviors are evil and/or dangerous, the truth can be found in the Bible. God’s Word is Truth and the final authority. The Word says,

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV

Going along with anything and everything is not love. Sin brings pain and heartache. It always does. That’s why God warns us against it.

Speaking the truth protects the innocent. Truth is the antidote for deception and deception is the enemy of mankind.

Standing for truth isn’t hard to do when evil is something society detests. But what about when sinful behavior is something our culture affirms? What sin does our society affirm? All you have to do is watch TV to find out. TV is filled with shows that seek to normalize sinful behaviors such as adultery, homosexuality, abortion, and transgender ideology.

I never thought I’d see the day when women would celebrate because they had won the right to murder their unborn baby. But many women in America demand abortion rights during all months of pregnancy, and they call it healthcare. That is not healthcare. It’s killing your baby for convenience. If we’re going to have this discussion, we should at least be honest about it.

There’s a reason abortion advocates call it healthcare. It’s more palatable to call it “healthcare” or “women’s rights” than to call it what it is: murder.

Abortion is just one evil that our culture affirms. There are many others. My question for you is: Will you love? Or will you affirm evil? Affirming evil is not love. It takes courage to stand up for what is right.

At one time, I didn’t understand this verse. Why would anyone delight in evil? Now I understand.

Engaging in sinful behavior is a very dangerous path. Will you stand up for truth to protect the innocent and/or the misinformed? It won’t be easy, but it will be loving.

The World promotes sinful behavior through propaganda and lies.

” … wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:10

Deception is the work of Satan.

” … that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world … ” Revelation 12:9 ESV

Jesus said, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44 (emphasis mine)

FACT: “A new study from the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law finds that 81% of transgender adults in the U.S. have thought about suicide, 42% of transgender adults have attempted it.” UCLA School of Law

FACT: “According to Gissler et al. (2014), suicide rates for women directly after having abortions are three times higher than suicide rates for women overall.” Georgia College

FACT: LGBTQ+ young people are more than four times as likely to attempt suicide than their peers (Johns et al., 2019; Johns et al., 2020).

We do not stand for truth because we hate. We stand for truth because we love. We love the ones who are being deceived and led astray by propaganda and lies. It’s time to speak up.

  2. To be blunt, there is no reason for an unplanned pregnancy today with all of the various means of protection. Some view abortion as their birth control. Even in the case of rape it is not the unborn child’s fault how he or she was conceived. We have a family member who adopted an unwanted baby who came into this world by rape. The baby is still a human being.

  4. Declaring truth sometimes means being firm, just as Jesus was. Jesus was meek, which means power under control. I’m amazed at those who profess to be Christians who say that speaking these truths you just mentioned is hate. Thank you for this excellent post, Cindy, and for the encouragement for us who follow Christ to be strong in calling sin the evil that it is.

    1. The “world” tells so many lies! Most of the people who go along with it have been brain-washed by the abundance of propaganda. They have been deceived themselves and then deceive others. Speaking the truth in love is essential to the battle for truth. Thank you for your encouraging words, Patty. Blessings!

  7. Excellent post, Cindy. You are absolutely right. There are so many things going on in the world and I wish people would understand that these so-called freedoms are not good. But because they don’t have the Holy Spirit, they can’t “see” what we “see.” I pray that they will understand one day.

  10. I would just like to point out the reason for some of your facts. The reason the statistics for suicide among transgender and LGBTQIA+ community is not because they are trans or queer (though it may make up a very small percentage). The reason they contemplate suicide is because of social/ external reasons. Because they are threatened by their families and religious institutions and are told that who they are is wrong and that they don’t deserve a place in the world. The first fact you have stated, quoted by the author of the study you are referencing, goes on to state: “A lack of societal recognition and acceptance of gender identities outside of the binary of cisgender man or woman and increasing politically motivated attacks on transgender individuals, increase stigma and prejudice and related exposure to minority stress, which contributes to the high rates of substance use and suicidality we see among transgender people”: https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/transpop-suicide-press-release/

    1. Kenya, My intent is not to hurt anyone with gender dysphoria, but to protect children from deception and trans contagion. Removing body parts and taking hormones is not what these kids need. It is child abuse to inflict these measures on confused children.

      You quote the author of the study who blames a lack of societal recognition, etc. to the high rate of suicide. That is not a scientific finding. That is simply someone’s opinion. I disagree.

      Some people believe that the way to love and support these children is to support their deception, but it isn’t. To love these children requires telling the truth.

      I believe you mean well, but your stance is harmful to children. I pray that you will search deeper for truth.
