1-minute devotion for Tuesday, 9/9/25
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” James 1:5-8 Read full chapter
Commentary: Those with wisdom know what to do in the midst of confusing circumstances – a clarity that only God can give. (Jeremiah Study Bible Notes)

God bless you, Cindy, for sharing this truth from the Word about wisdom. It’s true that we CAN know what to do.
Often I try not to share about all the “back stage” things that occur in my journey–the insurance issues, calls with drs, constant medication, appts. etc… in addition, yesterday, Finley was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and will need medication (which the vet said is common with tiny poodles her age so I know all will be fine!). People often ask me, “How do you stay positive with all you do?” Cindy, I surrender. When folks try to hang on to control, I’ve learned that I must stop and pray. “Jesus, I give you everything and everyone.” I don’t believe IN HIM. He lives IN ME. Today, I had to make phone call upon phone call. There are days I just want a “break” (and go back to see my son). Then I smile and think that God always has good reason for me to use the wisdom, love, and insight we gain through this tough journey here. He never rejects us–no matter our feelings. I will rely on his sovereignty and faithfulness! ALWAYS!
I love you and Henry and although I’m not here often, I hold you both in my heart and prayers. β£οΈπΎππ»
