1-minute devotion for Tuesday, 9/2/25
“Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.” Isaiah 64:4
I have found that sometimes it seems like God is not answering my prayers when, in reality, He is asking me to wait and be patient.
This happened recently. I have been praying for over two years for guidance in an important decision. Guidance finally came when circumstances changed and the answer to my prayers became obvious. I had done the right thing by waiting. Sometimes, we just don’t have all the facts!
“… the fruit of the Spirit is … patience…” Galatians 5:22
Jesus said we should “pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1

Amen. Cindy, thank you for sharing how your faithful patience through prayer brought you joy. Walking with a patient heart will be challenging, but the fruits which wait will be worth it.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that God sees the big picture and we don’t. Thanks for commenting. Blessings, Big Sky!
