Stay Vigilant: The Devil’s Prowl and Our Faith

Sunday’s Memory Verse for 8/24/25

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-11 ESV

In His Love, Cindy

All Scripture is from the NIV unless stated otherwise.

  1. The encouragement to resisting the devil and find strength in the shared experiences of the brotherhood is a great reminder of the support and solidarity that comes with being part of a faith community.

    1. This verse comes to mind: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” Zechariah 4:10 NLT ✝️
