Friday’s Verse, 1/10/25
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
Christians cannot be confidently prepared to give an answer unless they have immersed themselves in God’s Word. (Jeremiah Study Bible notes)

My daughter thought that she did not have a testimony because she was raised in a Christian home and felt that she had known the Lord from an early age. But the keeping power of Christ to keep us from a life of sin or sinful behavior is one of the best testimonies of the power of our Lord.
Redemptive work of the Lord to help us turn from a life of sin and crime is great but the redemptive work of the keeping power of God to keep us from going astray in the first place, is equally as great of a testimony.
So for those who think they do not have a testimony please reconsider the keeping power of Christ in your walk, wow.

AMEN! There is no better testimony than the one of a person who has walked with God their whole life! It reminds me of Corrie ten Boom. She walked with the Lord her whole life and God used her in a mighty way. There are many others. God bless you and your family, Eileen!

The action “immersed” goes well with how deeply we should embrace Scripture with a consistent schedule of reading and studying.
