Give to us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for – because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.” Peter Marshall (1902-1949)

Thank you Cindy, you are truly God’s spokes person, this morning the ciaos nearly made me lose my focus, it is about Jesus and Him crucified. As Paul found out after his debate on Mars Hill. Blessings dear heart of the Lord.

Thank you, Eileen, for your kind words. I must say, I am not God’s spokesperson, but I seek to do His will. I am far from perfect and have made many mistakes in my life (more than you would imagine). But our Lord is so full of mercy and grace that He would even use you or I. He alone is worthy. Praise the Lord! Blessings, dear Eileen! 🙏

Not being quite sure what most believe God’s spokesperson is, but when I am seeking peace in the middle of a chaotic time and it seems a “coincidence” that God speaks exactly what I need to hear to bring me peace and calm, that is God’s speaking through another in one way or the other.
To me that is God’s spokesperson.

I see what you mean. This happens to me, too.
And it’s wonderful!

I’ve always admired Peter Marshall. If you ever get the chance to read some of his sermons, they’re wonderful…I think his wife Catherine Marshall compiled some of them in a book. (She was the author of “Christy” and lived in our Appalachian town briefly.) And, if you haven’t seen it, watch the old movie “A Man Called Peter” which is a dramatization of his life.

When I was a young woman I read Christy and it had a huge impact on my life. I also liked her book, Beyond Our Selves. She was an inspiration. Blessings!
