Amen! In my book “BARRIERS (So, if prayers are so powerful how come mine don’t get answered?)” one of the themes of the whole book is that prayer is not some cosmic vending machine to help us get “stuff” from God. Prayer strengthens our relationship with Him, strengthens US, and makes us more like Him. (People love to quote Romans 8:28, but if you read on, the next verse defines what is meant by “good.”
