What Happened to America?

Somebody wake me up because I must be having a bad dream! This is not the America I have known and loved over the last seven decades!

Satan has unleashed his fury and the Church better wake up. It’s not like we haven’t been warned. The Bible tells us over and over about how Satan works. He is a murderer, a liar, a slanderer, and a deceiver. What we are seeing is a manifestation of Satanic influence and deception.

Gen Z thinks a man can say he’s a woman and you better go along. Approximately 1,000,000 babies are murdered each year by abortion because “that’s not a baby in there“. (Really?) College students support the terrorist organization Hamas. And anti-semitism has exploded around the world.

I believe the days are over when we can go about business as usual, ignoring the evil going on around us.

I am reminded of the days of evil during WWII when the Nazis were murdering Jewish men, women, and children by the millions. How did it ever get to that point? Compare what happened then to what is happening now.

There was a progression of anti-Semitic activity. At first, Jewish shops and businesses were boycotted.

Between 1937 and 1939, new anti-Jewish regulations segregated Jews and made daily life very difficult for them. Jews could not attend public schools; go to theaters, cinemas, or vacation resorts; or reside or even walk in certain sections of German cities.

This progressed to the physical destruction of synagogues and Jewish-owned stores, the arrest of Jewish men, the vandalization of homes, and the murder of individuals. My Jewish Learning

“Nazi anti-Jewish policy functioned on two primary levels: legal measures to expel the Jews from society and strip them of their rights and property while simultaneously engaging in campaigns of incitement, abuse, terror and violence of varying proportions. There was one goal: to make the Jews leave Germany.” Yad Vashem

The beginnings of anti-Semitism in Nazi Germany are similar to what we see today on American college campuses.

2024: Columbia University USA

During the Holocaust, some Christian heroes emerged like Corrie ten Boom and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. But very few Christians helped the Jews. Most did nothing.

A wartime decree made “friendliness” toward Jews punishable by imprisonment in a concentration camp. Hiding Jews inside the Reich was risky and difficult. Only a few thousand Jews survived living ‘underground’ or hidden in Nazi Germany. Holocaust Encyclopedia

Eventually, 6 million Jews were murdered in concentration camps throughout Germany.

How will Christians today respond to this unprecedented modern-day anti-Semitism? Are you willing to speak out or will you silently stand by?

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as. yourself.”

To Abraham, God said, “I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse”
Genesis 12:3

To Israel, God said, “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.” Deuteronomy 14:2

“For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.” Romans 9:3-5 (emphasis mine)

“For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.” Ezekiel 36:24

“He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.” Isaiah 11:12

“For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.” Zechariah 2:8-9 (emphasis mine)

  1. Thank you for keeping us aware of and informed about these satanic events happening all over the world, Cindy. No longer can we think that this will pass and things are just going to get better. We certainly need to pray and to live wisely in the strength of the Lord in these days.

    1. May the Lord guide us daily and give us wisdom. May He give us a hunger for His Word so we can walk in the Truth. Blessings, Patty!
P.S. I had dinner the other night with the mother of a former student who has Asperger’s. I had him when he was in 5th grade 24 years ago. We became life-long friends. I told her about your blog and that I had told you a few stories about her son. She shared with me a story I had never heard before. She said when he was a young boy they would sit in the balcony so he could move around. One Sunday, he leaned over the balcony during the sermon and exclaimed, “Boring! Boring!” I cracked up! It may not have been polite, but it was still true!

      1. Oh my, that story is hilarious! Bless that dear mama’s heart. I KNOW how she feels. One Sunday we had a guest preacher. He was much more animated than our pastor, and Aaron does not like animation unless it’s his own. Aaron also doesn’t whisper. He finally had enough and said to us (remember, no whisper), “Can’t someone tell him to be quiet!!” Hahaha!!

  3. It is a shame that others can’t or won’t accept when someone is different. People who are gay or a lesbian have been around since the beginning of time. Please let me explain the medical field (doctors) have always know this. As you know Cindy when I was carrying my oldest daughter (who has been chronically ill) I was carrying twins and not one doctor ever told me this, I kept my ultra sound and yes you can see two babies, my oldest daughter absorb most of her sister this is why she has extra organs, two sets of DNA in her body, extra bones. I had a difficult pregnant where I almost lost her as well as my own life. My soon to be ex-husband knew all of this and I was never told, why because doctors believe that the mother should focus on the child that she gave birth to instead of the one she loss. For many months and even longer I never understood why I was depress, it was my body knew that someone was missing. I found out the truth once my daughter had genetic testing done. Newsflash for most people don’t know many doctors never tell you the truth, my oldest daughter most of her health problems we found out through her medically records and when she had a rare cancer tumor removed I was lied to she was fine she never was and now she has more she is terminal. Many children who are born are neither male or female they are missing chromosome, and many times when a parent believe a child is one gender only to find out that have both body parts. Why do people make a big fuss if someone loss another who is the same sex. Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves. On the subject of abortion most don’t know that doctors refuse to care for a woman patient because the are in child bearing years, yup it has happen to my daughter, doctor refuse to take care of her and by the way she is unable to ever have children and yes I do know that for sure. There have been so many women that have died because the child they were carrying they began to miscarried and the list go on. The abortion women seek it is because of something that has gone wrong and in many cases the woman’s life is in danger. And yet no one speak of how many church leaders have rape women and children, why is it okay in many states today that a grown man can marry a child. No one is help accountable when a woman or child is rape. The leaders of our church and our government need to stay out of people decision what is right for them. I know you may not agree to any of this and that is fine with me, we need to agree to disagree. God did not make us all to be a carbon copy he created us in His Image. Let us as followers of our Lord Jesus Christ love one another (we don’t have to agree with everything) and let Christ judge we have no right too.
    Sorry that this is long
    Blessings my friend.

  4. So often these kinds of articles make some of us feel like we are not good warriors if we cannot be on the front line in this battle for truth against evil, but remember the power of prayer. I heard the story of two women who got together to pray for Ireland and they got to see their beloved country turned around from evil. Prayer and prayer warriors are important and for anyone who feels like they just cannot “do” prayer is doing. Due to ill health I have been isolated before the whole Covid thing. God is a great teacher in prayer. He will do wonders when you pray for other, not just your self. One thing He has taught me is when my prayers are too focus on me and my world, it get extremely small and even more isolated.

In 1985 I was given 6 months to live, I am still here due to prayer, Like Joni, I would like to be made whole, but as she has said, “God allows what He hates to accomplish what He loves.” Pray and keep praying because this nation needs it. Pray for good leadership and for bad leadership to be removed. Pray for front line warriors who can be in the thick of battle, pray for courage, strength to stand when tested.

God told us that He would tell us what to pray for if we cannot know how or what to pray. Prayer is like any other muscle the more you do it the stronger it gets.

    1. Thank you for sharing your testimony to the power of prayer. You are so right. This nation and the world needs prayer. That is something we can and must do.
My purpose in writing the article was to make people aware of the growing antiSemitism so no one will be blindsided, and so that people will recognize the propaganda for what it is. There is nothing more powerful than prayer! God bless you, today!

  5. Thank you Cindy for raising this issue, many of us have broken hearts for Israel and all that she and her people as well as all the Jewish people are suffering now. Frankly I am shocked by all the antisemitism and the response by the “church”. Please keep being the watchman (woman) on the wall. Thank you also for bringing attention to this issue as well.

      1. Yes it is shocking. Unfortunately it has been shocking to see how some of people in all generations buy into the lies of the enemy. My children who are in their mid 30’s and 40’s said that most of their friends buy into these lies. My friends are in their 70’s to 90’s and it shocks me how many of them buy into these lies. The Bible talks about end time delusions, we are seeing it. Even many of our leader in every industry and sector of society are buying into these lies. As Jan Markell said, “What did you expect to see in the end times.” Yet she even mentions how it is the speed in which this is spreading that has shocked her.

Thank you again Cindy. It means a lot for this worn out warrior to see people like you keeping up this battle. You are in my prayers for God to protect you and your and for Him to bless you and yours.

        1. Thank you so much for your prayers. I’m not just saying that. It means a lot to me. I feel like I am standing alone except for the brothers and sisters, like you, from around the world who I know through the blog. What is your first name? Good bless you today, my friend! 🤗

          1. Thanks Cindy, my first name is Eileen (pronounced “I lean”), My response is usually, ” I lean on the Lord.” The reason it is not on our website is because of all the hate emails we got for putting on politically incorrect signs for sign language. We also put on scripture graphics in sign language and other encouraging messages in sign language.

It is sad that I hear so many say I feel like I am standing alone, but it is so true. The enemy of our soul wants to marginalize, isolate, and separate us. Paul expressed these feelings in Asia. So we are in great company.

Blessings Sister, beloved of the Lord.

  6. Amen 🙏🤗 Amen 🙏♥️ Amen

It is definitely sad what is happening not only to Our Country, but around the world ,,,
Christians today have a responsibility to confront and denounce any form of discrimination, including anti-Semitism. Silence in the face of hatred only perpetuates it. As believers in love, compassion, and justice, it’s essential for Christians to actively speak out against anti-Semitism wherever it appears, whether in public discourse, within communities, or even within their own circles. By standing up against prejudice and advocating for understanding and unity, Christians can play a vital role in combatting anti-Semitism and promoting a world of tolerance and acceptance.

  7. Thank you for this post Mrs. Dawson!

As a little girl I remember my dad telling me about American history and being so proud of his country. That pride was passed on to me and I was very patriotic and loyal to my country. But I look at America now (even though I live in Canada, I am still American) and I feel ashamed and saddened. What happened to our Christian Heritage and the God that this country was built on? Without God America is a disaster.

History needs to be taught and so many people need Jesus!

But just so you know, I am a Christian Gen-Z girl who believes that God has created everybody equal, with boundless love for all of us, including the Jews!! So don’t give up hope!

Bless you and your blog Mrs. Dawson!
