Have You Heard of “One Million Esthers for America”?

Self-proclaimed NAR “prophet” Lou Engle has called women of America to pray for our country in Washington, DC in October 2024.

That may sound like a good thing, but before you sign up, I urge you to learn more about Lou Engle and this movement. Why?

It is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge, and the one who acts hastily makes poor choices.” Proverbs 19:2 NET

This verse reminds us that we must not jump on the bandwagon of anything and everything that claims to be Christian. Make sure you know what it’s about and who is promoting it.

This event is sponsored by the New Apostolic Reformation, an unbiblical movement within evangelical Christianity. If you don’t know what the New Apostolic Reformation is, please learn.

“The New Apostolic Reformation, or NAR, is an unbiblical religious movement that emphasizes experience over Scripture, mysticism over doctrine, and modern-day “apostles” over the plain text of the Bible. Of particular distinction in the New Apostolic Reformation are the role and power of spiritual leaders and miracle-workers, the reception of “new” revelations from God, an over-emphasis on spiritual warfare, and a pursuit of cultural and political control in society. The seeking of signs and wonders in the NAR is always accompanied by blatantly false doctrine.” (GotQuestions.org) Read the full article “What Is the New Apostolic Reformation here.

One of my favorite blogs, Reasoned Cases for Christ by Bruce Cooper, has a dedicated website page that offers an in-depth study of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement within Christianity. It provides historical, doctrinal, and organizational insights into the NAR, emphasizing the importance of understanding its beliefs and practices in light of biblical truth. You can access that page here.

I fear many innocent, but zealous, Christian women will be drawn into this “One Million Esthers” movement. I urge you to heed the warnings in God’s Word.

“I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough ... For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.  It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. ” 2 Corinthians 11:2-4, and 13-15 NIV (emphasis mine)

Dawn Hill has written an excellent article concerning “THE RISE OF ONE MILLION ESTHERS FOR AMERICA”. Read it at the Lovesick Scribe here.

Jesus warned, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. ” Matthew 24:10-11 NIV

I know that many good Christian women have never even heard of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). That is why I am posting this warning. Please do not be uninformed.

In His Love, Cindy

  1. I have not heard of it, Cindy! Thank you so much for sharing. Absolutely, we must be on “guard” for the truth in God’s word is the only truth. So many try and “bend” it to bow to culture. I know I’m to love God, love others, and my movements should only point to the truths as told by Jesus! God bless you, Cindy. I appreciate you so much. Love, Karla ❤️🙏🏻

  2. Cindy, several things stand out to me~I can not save my own children, only GOD can,…I am NOT Esther. I pray the blood of Jesus around my children, grandchildren, loved ones. My mission field is right in front of me. God is telling me to live and walk by faith, in his truth, and to share this in my daily walk~❤️🙏🏻💕

    1. And you do it well, my friend!! You are a light in the darkness! Jesus said, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” That’s what you do! Blessings! 🤗

      1. Thank you, Cindy. You are so precious to me. I went to the Lord in prayer and discernment yesterday~very moving sermons and talking with a solid “iron” friend~just like you. You are that light, too, dear friend. Many blessings! And please give Henry belly rubs and love from Finn and I! ❤️💕🙏🏻

  3. Thanks for the warning. We have to exercise discernment especially when something is called “Christian “. The lines are too easily blurred. Scripture is our only source of truth. There is no new revelation. There is only illumination of Biblical truth by the Holy Spirit.

  5. I have not heard of this. Thank you for the information, Cindy. We must encourage and support each other to seek after Jesus only and weigh everything against His Truth. I’m glad to not be walking this road alone. xo

  6. From your previous posts, I am led to understand you have been down a rocky road of lies and deceit in your worship of Jesus. I thank God that He revealed Himself to you and, because of your past, you are able to speak to those who may be falling into the same pits of despair. You give hope in pointing us all to the True God.

Thank you for Biblical warnings, and for spot-on Scripture.

    1. Thank you, Kathy for those encouraging words. Back in the 90’s, I realized I was caught up in false teaching. Because I had been teaching these same things myself in Women’s Bible Study, I was devastated. I couldn’t understand why God let this happen. It almost shipwrecked my faith. For years, I prayed, “Lord, Don’t let me fall away.”
      He didn’t!
All these years later, God is using my experience to help other women. I have learned to study the Bible correctly. He has given me a love for the Word. I am so thankful!
God bless you today, my friend! 🤗

    1. Thank you, Mandy. My concern is for the many Christian women who will naively jump on this bandwagon. There are many who mean well and love the Lord, but who are not discerning. God bless you, Mandy!
