When you unapologetically stand for Christ and the truth of His Word, you will not only face a full frontal attack from the world, you’ll also risk being stabbed in the back by those you thought were comrades in arms.

Following God will cause division among family, friends, and the world. Why? Because truth hurts. When pursuing holiness stings. Serving God is hard.
Being a Christian is a struggle but God is our refuge, strength, and protection. We must look ahead to eternity with Him.
I would rather bruise hearts with the Gospel truth than see them perish in the lake of fire forever. Imagine standing before God and seeing your loved ones not enter heaven.
That’s devastating and heartbreaking 😢

I have observed the truth of this. But then, God has our back.

That’s right! God does have our back! And He is faithful to lead us when we ask for His help. Blessings, Curtiss Ann!

I can really relate to your quote today. One time, in particular, I (my whole family actually) had our comrades turn on us. It was a shock to me. I expected the attack from the world and that was where I was alert. Our spiritual armor is mostly frontward facing, right? I was stunned by the stabs in the back, and Satan got a momentary win. I felt pretty sorry for myself for awhile because I took the betrayal and deceit personally instead of giving it to God. I think we learn a whole lot from those attacks from behind ( or beside) and they make us stronger soldiers. But the time it took me, personally, to heal from those attacks took me out of the fight for awhile. (Some of my kids are still out of it.). I think I am a more cautious soldier now, and I’m not sure it’s entirely a good thing, but I do keep my eyes on Jesus because I know He “has my back”. I’ve never been able to say it as succinctly as your quote today. It’s a good one. Thank you for sharing!

God works all things together for good to those who love him and are called according to His purpose. Sometimes the hardest things we go through actually make us more like Jesus. It’s only when we look back that we realize He was with us all along. He knows it all. And He will never forsake us. Blessings, ML!

I’ve found that people tend to stay far away from me in most dating situations once they’ve found out I’m a Christian but, other than that, I don’t really face much opposition for it. Maybe God has just blessed me in that regard.

Not everyone faces the same opposition. I’m glad you aren’t experiencing a lot of it. That is something to be thankful for! Blessings!
