As the woke agenda gains ground, it will keep getting harder for Christians to stand for Biblical truth. It’s easier to be accepting and tolerant of sin, but it isn’t right.
I believe persecution in America (and the world) is only going to get worse. I am reminded of the verse that says,
“If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?” Jeremiah 12:5
When Jeremiah complained about persecution, the Lord responded by telling him that his current problems were nothing compared to what was coming!
That’s why I’m concerned about the Church in America. We’ve been spoiled by freedom. We don’t know what it’s like to be persecuted. We still reside in the “safe country”, but that is quickly changing. When real persecution comes, will we be able to stand?
Jesus said, “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8
When the Lord comes, will He find compromise and tolerance of evil or will He find Christians trusting in the Word and in Truth?
Some have decided to ignore Scripture and go along with the lies. What lies? Well, everything that is happening in our world which is contrary to God’s Word is a lie. Do not be deceived.
We can bury our heads in the sand for a while, but when a problem threatens our children, we are compelled to face it head-on. And our children are being targeted by the Woke agenda.
They don’t even try to hide it. Drag Queens have invaded children’s Story Hour at Public Libraries and bookstores across America. Target is selling LGBTQ Pride clothes for kids. American Public Education promotes the trans agenda. Disney has gone off the rails. And to top it off, Gay Pride Parades chant, “We’re coming for your children!”
We must fight for our children’s welfare. If we do, it will encourage others to fight, too. If we remain silent, others will be afraid to speak out. There is a lot at stake.
I pray that for believers we will not diminish our witness for Christ because we do not want to face backlash from this unbelieving world.”
Mandy Sweigart-Quinn, Blue Collar Theologian
We don’t want to face backlash. I think that pretty much sums it up. We don’t want to face backlash so we remain quiet.
But consider this. I was stunned when a Christian friend of mine recently told me that 5 of her 7 young adult children were “woke”. She said they were homeschooled and/or sent to private schools, but she warned me, “That’s not enough.” Once they attended college, their worldview changed.
She also shared with me that she has a friend whose 3 kids have all rejected the faith. They are now leftists and atheists. They are “Preacher’s kids”, two of which changed their worldview in college.
Don’t underestimate the power of peer pressure and social media. Don’t think this can’t happen to your children because you live in a small town or in the “Bible Belt”. I assure you it can. And there are probably people you know who are dealing with these issues right now and you just don’t know about it.
The problem is real and it is having an effect on our children whether we realize it or not. You can read Mandy’s inspiring article, Smoke here.
May God lead you and guide you as you traverse the narrow road.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7: 13-14
In His Love, Cindy

The threat of a WOKE LGBT generational shift is very real indeed and has saturated every corner of society. True Christian believers are treading water rather than stepping into the LGBT boat with their Liberal friends; those wicked forces will try to either drag (pun unintended!) us into their boat or push us under the drowning waves.
May our Father God continue to guide, strengthen and protect you as you ring the alarm bell sister, Amen 🙏

Great post Cindy! The enemy is relentlessly on a rampage as he knows his time is short. It’s almost like the floodgates of wickedness are being unleashed in America. I don’t hear about these kinds of things in other nations to the extend that America is experiencing them.
I love the verse you used, Luke 18:8. Yes, faith is the key. And God responds to it. There are two instances in the Bible where it’s recorded where Jesus was totally flabbergasted (marveled) in responding to one’s faith. Mat 8:10/Luk 7:9 & Mark 16:14 – the first instance it was “great faith” & in the second case “no faith”.
It could be that the Lord is using these times to express the light of faith in his people to shine with an intensity the world cannot ignore:
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. Matthew 4:16
Keep shinning your light! Blessings!

Thank you, David, for your encouraging words. I agree the enemy is on a rampage, knowing his time is short. God bless you today!

Thank you Cindy. I’m sorry, in reading this morning, there is another instance where Jesus was moved by someone’s faith. It’s the Syrophoenician mother whose daughter was vexed (Mat 15:28).
Jesus says “O woman”, prefacing his response to her with the vocative, exclamatory “Oh”. Jesus was overwhelmed by her faith. Peace!

P.S. Our job is not to be our children saviors. Our jobs as parents is to share the gospel and teach them the truth.
Every child will have to make a personal decision to accept Jesus salvation or not.
We can never bring our children salvation nor enforce it on them.

That is true, but as parents we have a great responsibility to teach them God’s ways and the truth of God’s Word. Blessings!

Exactly. I agree. But sometimes we, as parents believe that when they fall away from God and into sin, we carry the weight of guilt because we couldn’t save them or keep them saved.

I agree. Sometimes, all we can do is pray for them. And our prayer is not without effect! I am a living testimony to the effectiveness of my grandmother’s prayers. The Lord is merciful and faithful! Blessings, Tiffany!

All true dear sister! I pray that believers and their families see that their power comes from prayer, not politics. We need powerful prayer meetings and teach those who don’t know how to pray through.
Persecution is coming but you’re right, most Americans are spoiled. While our brethren around the world are tortured & imprisoned, I think Americans would rather compromise than even give up their cell phone.
Good post Cindy. In spite of all this, have a good 4th!

John MacArthur has two excellent sermons about the falling away of “believers.” Here is the link: https://www.gty.org/library/sermons-library/81-143/christian-deconstruction.
This is for Part 1. There is also Part 2. Both are excellent explanations and warnings for us today.
Thank you for your admonitions to believers, Cindy. We are truly facing very dangerous times. We need to be prepared.

Thank you for speaking out, Cindy. You help inform people, who might not understand how to get the information. More and more I see people standing up for truth. No matter what it looks like, God is still in control, and He will use everything to his purpose. Nothing can thwart the will of God. We are being strengthened in our inner being to stand firm.

Amen to that! And thank you for the encouragement. Yes, God IS in control. As my friend Jan Markel likes to say, “Things are not falling apart. They are falling into place.” Blessings, Curtiss Ann!

College is an indoctrination factory. If my kids want to go to college they have to create a game plan for a specific career with me and work in the real world too.
I have a friend who’s daughter was homeschooled, a preacher’s daughter and she has graduated college, renounced her faith in Jesus and came out as a lesbian. She’s also on drugs for bipolar and blames her parents for “lying to her” her whole life. It’s horrible. I would rather my kids never go to college than that.

Oh Katherine, I am so sad to hear this. I will pray for your friend and her daughter. I fear you are right when you say that college is an indoctrination factory. The enemy has made the capture of higher education his goal. But remember this: All the prayers of those parents through out their daughter’s life are not without effect. His arm is not too short to save. The battle is not over yet. He is able. He is faithful. He is able to calm the storm. God bless you, today, my friend!

This is such an important post, Cindy! Woke is the new religion of the day. Christians cannot be unaware nor can they bury their heads in the sand. Jesus is our hope so we can stand firm in Him uncompromisingly no matter what happens. You are such a blessing, Cindy! Praise God for your courage to speak the truth!

The “Bible Belt” is shrinking and it is more like Jeremiah linen belt, moth eaten and rotten. People are flocking to the cities and southern cities are just like cities everywhere. But in a backhanded way, this is good. God’s church grows stronger in persecution. At least, it has throughout history. Even today, Iran has one of the fastest growing Christian communities – many seeing Jesus in dreams.
