“Sometimes the truth is uncomfortable. The Bible was not written to make us comfortable … the Bible will not tolerate sin and the deceptions of the devil just to make us feel better about ourselves… Leading this charge of deception away from the truth is Satan.”

Cindy, I recently started to listen to a podcast by a much-revered woman, who started out by saying, “A true friendship makes you feel good.” I immediately turned it off. Sometimes a true friendship will feel good, but other times a true friend will love me with an honesty that might not feel good. But if I heed a wise friend’s advice, it will benefit me in the long run.

What you have said is very true. Sometimes it can be hard to speak the truth to a friend we love, especially when we know they might be offended. Thanks for commenting, Annie.
