The first Bible study I attended in a college dorm my freshman year was about this verse. It was an eye opener, showing me that there was the way the world sees things, and then there was divine perspective. (I wanted the latter and have been seeking it ever since.)

This verse encourages us greatly when we are in a trial. It gives us God’s perspective. I don’t think we would ever think of it by ourselves! Blessings, Annie!

I just put part of the definition you gave us for persevere beside that word in my Bible. To maintain a purpose. That goes so well with the last blog I wrote and with what God has been impressing on me about knowing that we have a purpose no matter where we are planted. I sure do appreciate what you shared here today, Cindy. I love how God uses others like you to teach and bless me.

Yes, He uses others to speak to my heart, too. What’s so amazing about it is that they have no idea God was going to speak to me through their words! Your blog has been a great blessing to me, too!
