“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.” Psalm 56:3-4a NIV

The condition of the world, one could walk around in constant fear. I choose trust in our Lord. Good post.

I just started a “Memory Verse” section in my new Prayer Journal Notebook. When I feel fear creping in, I like to recite one of the many verses about not fearing and trusting the Lord. God’s Word is a powerful weapon against the lies of the enemy. Blessings, Marla!

Have you ever heard of the Prayer Bear video series? I’m dating myself, I’m sure. They were put together by Steve Green and the songs in it were all scripture verses. This verse was one of them and I loved that I automatically started singing it when I read your delightful post. I find memorization so much easier when set to music… and having this one as a sweet lullaby is a great tool when my kids (then) and grandkids (now) wake up afraid in the night! Thanks for putting a great tune in my head today 🙂

No, I haven’t heard of the Prayer Bear. It sounds great. I’ll look it up. I agree, it’s easier to memorize something to music. We even did that in school. I’m a retired teacher. Thanks for telling me about it. My granddaughter is five and she would love it. Blessings!
