Sunday’s Memory Verse, 11/22/20

“For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12 NIV

  1. As I may have told you, my granddaughters and I have just finished studying and memorizing this Psalm. When we got to this verse, we looked at how the devil misquoted it in tempting Jesus in the wilderness.(Left out “to guard you in all your ways.”) They learned that this doesn’t mean we can do something dangerous (like jump off the Temple roof) and the angels will catch us! But as we are innocently going about our normal day, they will watch over us. (The younger one did stub her toe when we were walking the other day, and applying this lesson, I pointed out that maybe she should have put on shoes as her mom and I are always telling her to do. 😉 )

  2. Indeed the lord God is our saviour, his protection is with us every day of our lives sometimes we may think that he has abondoned us because things are not going well in our lives whether it’s financially or that we are having family troubles but all that I have learned from being a Christian all my life is that the darkest hour of the night is always just before sunrise and that just as Lazarus suffered on earth and Divas enjoying life. We might be shocked to discover that our greatest test in life is being able to pray to God daily whether you are going through a tough phase in your life or whether all is well. But what I know is that if you are alive today then that’s the best thing you have in you right now because you have the gift of life and that means you still got a chance to praise and worship Gods in whatever way you can because for some people it’s no longer possible
