A Verse for Meditation, Thursday, 10/29/20

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV

  1. This verse is often on my mind when my health is playing up and I feel a bit sorry for myself. It is always good in such times to touch base with the Almighty. Thanks for this reminder Cindy, God bless you today.

  2. “And I will listen to you.”
How often in our despair do we hear or say ourselves, “no one listens to me.” But God promises to listen. God, the Creator of all the heavens and of the earth, the Father who sent His only Son for our redemption … listens to me! What a great promise! Thanks for the reminder Cindy. Peace.

    1. Thanks for your inspiring comment! Sometimes I think we need to meditate on short pieces of Scripture like that. “I will listen to you.” When you think about it like that, how can we neglect prayer? Blessings Tim!
