Doctrine – Real Christian Women

“The authority of Scripture means that all the words in Scripture are God’s words in such a way that to disbelieve or disobey any word of Scripture is to disbelieve or disobey God” (Wayne Grudem, Systematic Theology, page 73).

This doctrine forms the basis of apologetics, for we can only appeal to the Scripture when we trust its authority. The correctness of every belief, value, opinion, statement, and sermon is finally settled by the question: What does the Bible say?

Cindy, what a blessing you are. Thank you so much for putting God first in your life. So many time when things are so chaotic here and I do not feel like I have time to breath, God touches me through your post, just wanted to take the time to let you know how much I appreciate your walk before the Lord and to thank you.

God blessed me early on with people who know my past and how the scriptures were used to justify bad behavior during my childhood, by the very man who was suppose to protect and provide for me and did not.

So God knew He had to put before me evidence that demanded attention to the authority of Scriptures. There is more proof of God’s accuracy of His Word than any other writings of antiquity. Many an atheist who sincerely look at the evidence have become a believer in the One True God.

As once said the many hammers of atheism of the past are broken, dead and gone. Buy the anvil of the Bible is still here.

God knew before hand that we would be in an age that demanded physical proof of His ability to write a book and keep it accurate. Go figure.
