1-Minute Devotion for Tuesday, 9/15/26
Do you feel obligated to read your Bible? New Christians may need to discipline themselves to study their Bible, at least for a while. If you do that, you will begin to understand its value. You will understand that the Bible is a gift from God. Why?
God’s Word will guide you into all Truth.
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” John 17:17
God’s Word will protect you from the devil’s schemes.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes … Take the … the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:11 &17
Studying the Bible will enable you to hear the Holy Spirit reminding you of what God has said in His Word.
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13
God’s Word will encourage you and give you hope.
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4
Ultimately, you will begin to treasure God’s Word for what it is: not an obligation, but a gift from God!
