1-minute devotion for Tuesday, 1/20/26
“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…” John 1:9-12 (emphasis mine)
“To receive Him who is the Word of God means to acknowledge His claims, place one’s faith in Him, and thereby yield allegiance to Him.” MacArthur Study Bible
We are all God’s creation, but not everyone is a child of God.

I hear so many people say “we are all God’s children”, false only the born again believers can be called the children of God. Not very popular but it is the truth.

Amen 🙌
We’re all created by God, but becoming His children comes from believing in Jesus and receiving Him.
