1-minute devotion for Monday, 11/10/25
“Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.” 1 John 2:15-16 NLT
Here “the world” refers to the system of this world which aligns with Satan and opposes God. John warns readers not to love the false values, false standards, and false gods of society because whatever things are involved in the world’s system are under the authority of the evil one. Thank you for sharing this post today Cindy. It made me the things of this world are easy to love, they don’t challenge us spiritually. But Almighty God is challenging to stand with and love, but His rewards are Forever – Hallelujah!

This is the second post I’ve seen today with a similar theme. In some ways the world system is in faces and clearly evil, but in other ways its influence is subtle. Only the armor of God, mentioned in Ephesians, can fully protect us from the influence of evil.
